The characters
You are royal bastards and royal servants. You are
royal henchmen, royal slaves, royal wizards, royal soldiers and the
orphans of royal minions. You may not be called upon to take your
place into among kings. You may not be called upon to rule this world
or any other. You may not be called upon to pass the Pillars of Order
and Chaos. But your existence will shape fate. For, some say, you
bear the most important of gifts. A gift they call Sangreal.
Character creation
The choice of characters is not really limited. You may play any member of any of the thousands
of small peoples which compose Europe at that time, or you may choose beyond Europe, provided
you have a sound idea. Note that they do not have to be completely human or completely normal.
In this version of Europe, spirit folks and faeries can quite well have children with mortals,
prophecies can shape the future of newborn babies and strange creatures roam the land. Quite likely,
your character will be either a mythical human or a mythical creature. Magic exists.
The most important step in character creation is the concept of the character. If you do not have
a sound idea, we will just have to play the character from his birth :)
